We create a safe environment where kids can focus on enjoying time with friends on the course or in activities around the TRYathlon Village.
Every child, no matter their ability, is considered a champion and encouraged by Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon Ambassadors. A medallion is awarded for completion.
85% of parents tell us their child felt better about themselves or were glowing with pride on completion and their self-esteem and self-confidence improved.
TRYathletes receive a KIT stuffed full of goodies from Weet-Bix and our sponsors.
Plus free breakfast and activities in the village for all.
The Auckland City Council has advised us that their water tests have returned a clear result which means there will be no disruption to the swim leg of this Sunday’s Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon.
The council has assured us that the water quality in the area will be monitored by the council each day and will advise us immediately if there are any changes.
It is important to note that event participants will not be swimming in the Omaru Creek but at Point England beach.
The TRYathlon has a proud 25-year-history of successful events throughout New Zealand and we are looking forward to ensuring another safe and enjoyable event for those families taking part this weekend.
All updates relating to TRYathlon will be posted on our Facebook page facebook.com/tryathlon/
|7.00-8.15am||1.A. Have your event kit? – Head towards Transition and look for the Check-In flags and tents.
At Transition, your bib will be scanned to check you in to the event and place you into the prize draw. You will then receive your Arena Swim Cap. Once you have checked in, you will keep moving through transition to position your bike with one parent if necessary to help you.
(Please note: more than one parent creates too much congestion in the Transition area).
While you’re in Transition, ask a Help Team volunteer to write your bib number on your arm and leg. This will help the photographers send you the right photos after the event and give the organisers another point of reference to check your details if necessary.
|1.B. Don’t have your event kit? – Bring your confirmation email to the Admin Tent where you can collect your Event Kit and receive answers to any questions you may have.
Once you have received your event kit, make your way to Transition and look for the Check In flags and tents.
|You will need to leave the following items in Transition:

After the final participant has completed the course, controlled access for those wanting to remove bikes from transition will be permitted from a single designated entry point under the guidance of Transition HELP TEAM Marshals until Prize-giving has been completed.
After the prize-giving has been completed, general access to bikes in the Transition Area will be permitted. Several entries to transition will be created and security spot checks will be carried out by Transition HELP TEAM Marshals.
